What is your photography style?
We focus on light, natural, and documentary-inspired with a mix of candid moments and gentle direction when you need it. We want your gallery to feel like how your day actually felt, not like you spent the entire day posing for photos!
Where are you based and do you travel?
The Gathering Goose is based in the San Francisco Bay Area and will happily work throughout the Bay Area and beyond. Have something a little further from the nest? Reach out and we can chat about travel!
How do I book with The Gathering Goose?
Start by sending an inquiry through the contact form below. We will reach out within 24 hours and get some time on the calendar to make sure we're a good fit and to go over the service or package that makes most sense for your event. Your date is officially reserved once your contract is signed and your retainer is paid.
Is The Gathering Goose an insured and licensed business?
Yes! The Gathering Goose LLC is a licensed and insured business. We take the behind-the-scenes details just as seriously as the fun stuff so you can feel confident knowing your gathering is in professional hands.
I love your work, but I'm working with a specific budget. Should I still reach out?
Please do! We believe meaningful moments deserve to be documented and celebrated at all kinds of budgets. While we can't promise we will be able to accommodate every budget, we are happy to have a conversation about what you're working with. We may be able to adjust coverage, hours, or services to find an option that makes sense for both of us. There's never any harm in asking!
Can I customize a package?
Absolutely! Our packages give us a starting point but no two gatherings look exactly alike. If you need something a little different, reach out and we can talk through it!
How are payments handled?
Preferred payment service will be listed in your contract!
Is The Gathering Goose an inclusive business?
Always. Our job is to help you celebrate and document the people you love. The Gathering Goose welcomes all races, cultures, genders, sexual orientations, identities, abilities, family structures, religions, and backgrounds.
Do you use AI in your photography or creative work?
Your memories deserve to look and feel like you! We do not use generative AI to create or alter the photographs we deliver. Every image is photographed and edited with care taken to preserve the details and moments that made your day yours. That same philosophy carries throughout The Gathering Goose. Even the illustrations you'll see throughout the website are hand-drawn by our founder. We want our work to feel personal from beginning to end!
How does The Gathering Goose handle privacy concerns?
We take your privacy very seriously. Your photos are your memories. We will always respect the permissions agreed upon for sharing images from your event and we will not share any identifiable photos of children for promotional, portfolio, website, or social media purposes without explicit permission from their parent or legal guardian. An option to either opt in or out of promotional use will be outlined in your contract.
Do you offer multiple services for the same event?
Depending on the event and what you need, yes! If you're interested in combining photography, coordination, or officiant services, send me the details and we will figure out what makes sense.
We're awkward in front of the camera. Help!
You don't need to know how to pose or what to do with your hands, that's our job! We will give you the direction when you need it while leaving plenty of room for the natural moments too.
Do you deliver RAW or unedited images?
No. Editing is part of the finished work and the experience you are hiring us for. Only completed, professionally edited images are delivered.
Can we print our photos?
Please do! Your gallery includes personal printing rights so you are more than welcome to print and enjoy your images for personal use!
