Hiya! I'm Jen!

Born and raised in the Bay Area, I share my home with my incredible partner, my sweet cat Xena, my kooky parrot Disco, and my sourdough starter in my fridge. I love being outdoors, getting creative, and bringing people together more than anything. Whether it's a packed campsite or a long table full of my loved ones, I will use any opportunity to gather the people I care about.

Before starting The Gathering Goose, I spent many years working in the restaurant industry and nearly four years in tech. They were two very different worlds but they both shaped the way I work today. Hospitality taught me how to read a room, anticipate what people need, and make them feel genuinely taken care of. The tech industry taught me how to organize the chaos, communicate clearly, manage alllll the details, and keep things moving when plans change quickly.

The Gathering Goose is where all of my experience comes together. Whether I am behind my camera capturing the big moments, the little ones, and the candids in between, or behind the scenes coordinating an event and keeping the moving pieces on track, what matters most is that my clients can be present for the moments they want to create and relive.

You might be wondering...why a goose? 

The goose has been a part of my life long before The Gathering Goose existed. My last name somehow evolved into "goose" as a nickname for my partner and I over the years. When it came time to name a business built around bringing people together and capturing treasured memories with the people we love, "The Gathering Goose" just felt right. My partner is truly my best friend, so getting to carry a little piece of us into something I am building and feel passionate about makes the name even more special to me. As for the disco ball, every good party has a disco ball.
